The research-oriented study program “Master of Science in Mathematical Physics” offered at the University of Hamburg is designed to prepare students for a research career in academia or industry by introducing advanced ideas and techniques that are applicable in many research areas, while emphasizing the underlying physics concepts. The Master's degree program is taught entirely in English and covers concepts in fields of continuum mechanics, mathematical biology, advanced mathematical methods as well as modern mathematical physics. Participants will have the option to focus mainly on one of two subjects-Physics or Mathematics and will also deepen their team-work skills by working in groups for a research project that is integrated into the study process.
