“Modern Greek and Byzantine Studies’’ is a Bachelor of Arts degree program offered at University of Hamburg. In the course of six semesters, prospective students will learn about the Modern Greek and Byzantine culture and literature. What is more, the program also offers basic knowledge of the recent history of the country along with the most current events in its politics, media and society. The curriculum for this discipline comprises of three major phases: Introductory, Development and Consolidation one. The final semester is dedicated entirely to the Bachelor’s thesis and oral examination.
