The study program “Bachelor of Science in Nanoscience” offered at the University of Hamburg draws together the resources of three key scientific disciplines – Chemistry, Computer Science and Physics as well – in order to delve deep into the hidden world of atoms and molecules. Students are provided with in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge and given the opportunity to enhance their practical and visualization skills. The main focus of the course is on materials – their use in electronic devices and the control of their properties. After successfully completing the course, students will have the chance to build careers in Industry, Public Service or Science Journalism. Other options are positions relating to Nanoscience or Biotechnology, Nanomedicine and Bioinformatics.
