The four-semester Master of Science study course “Physics’’ is provided at University of Hamburg. Here, undergraduate students can advance their knowledge and skills in physics. What is more, the main focus of this course is to enable participants to conduct independent scientific work. This is achieved through exploring different research methods and engaging in strategic planning and the critical classification of scientific findings. Students can choose from five research areas, namely in Laser Physics and Photonics, Biomedical Physics, Astronomy and Astrophysics, Solid State and Nanostructure Physics, Accelerator and Elementary Particle Physics. Graduates with a Master’s degree in Physics have very good employment opportunities. They can work in research institutes, universities, mechanical engineering companies, and others.
