University of Hamburg provides the Master of Science degree program “Physics”. The four-semester course of study is taught entirely in English. Here, students will build-up on their knowledge already acquired in the Bachelor’s course of the same name. What is more, a strong emphasis is put on research methods, strategic methodological planning, and the critical assessment of scientific findings. Thus, students are encouraged to develop an ability to work independently and prepare themselves for doctoral studies. The degree content provides five research areas from which students must choose at least two. Graduates can pursue a doctorate or work in research facilities, universities or companies working in mechanical engineering, medical device manufacturing, energy generation, data processing, etc.
