“Master of Arts in Sinology’’ is a four-semester program offered at University of Hamburg. This course of study is taught in both German and English. Here, students will deepen their linguistic, technical and methodological knowledge of the Chinese language and culture. Furthermore, participants will develop the ability to independently asses Chinese course in a scientific manner. At the beginning of the course, students must choose one of the two profiles, namely Culture and Society and Conceptual and Intellectual History. Both specializations impart methodological knowledge in dealing with Chinese sources from different periods and contexts.
