“Master of Arts in Sociology’’ is a four-semester study program provided at University of Hamburg. Here, students will deepen their knowledge in sociological theories and quantitative and qualitative methods of empirical research. In the first two semesters of the program, participants will explore all phases of the empirical research process. What is more, students will have the opportunity to develop a set of key skills through the participation in team studies and supervised tutorials. The degree content consists of basic and research modules. Participants can specialize in one of seven specific areas in the field of sociology. Graduates can continue with doctoral studies or pursue one of the many career paths open to them.
