Description
University of Jena is providing the four-semester degree program “Master of Arts in Archaeology of Prehistory and Early History”. It is designed for students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree and would like to deepen the knowledge they have gained in prehistoric and early historical development of Europe. They will learn more about the periods Paleolithic and Mesolithic; Neolithic, Bronze Age and Iron Age. Study plan includes seminars and theoretical lectures like Anthropology, Advanced Greek History, Advanced Roman History, Introduction to Egyptology, as well as practical trainings and an internship program. At the end of their studies, participants are able to recover and evaluate archaeological sources. Career opportunities for graduates are in state offices, at universities, in private excavation companies, and more.
