“Bachelor of Arts in Art History and Film Studies’’ is a study program provided by the University of Jena. Within the course of six semesters, prospective students will become familiar with the history and theory of the visual arts. The curriculum covers the period from the early Middle Ages to contemporary Western world. What is more, participants will explore a broad spectrum of artistic disciplines, namely sculpture, painting, graphic arts, film and audiovisual media, and more. In addition to the theoretical modules, students will also engage in practical experience along with other students. After successful completion of the program, graduates can pursue employment opportunities in museums, libraries, archives, art galleries, media, adult education, and more.
