The degree program “Master of Arts in Art History and Film Studies” with a duration of four semesters is offered by the University of Jena. It is designed for students with a Bachelor’s degree who would like gain further qualification and knowledge. By entering the program, participants will learn more about the development and methods of art history, film, photography, media and image studies. content of study includes Modern Times, Modern Art, Middle Ages, Film, Photography and Media Art. At the end of their studies, participants are able to analyze and solve complex problems, as well as to design new strategies. The course offers five different specializations. Upon successful completion graduates can find career in the fields of art criticism, film criticism, the art trade, museums, historic preservation, and much more.
