Description

University of Jena is offering the six-semester part-time extension exam program “Astronomy’’. Here, students can study astronomy as a third subject through a variety of courses. What is more, participants can choose between two variants of the study plan with where modules are combined in a different way. Some of the examples of the courses featured in both forms include Celestial Mechanics, Astronomical Observation Technique, Physics of the Stars, Cosmology or Extragalactic, and others. What makes this program different than the others is that it does not require participants to take part in an internship or practical semester, and no academic paper has to be written. Graduates will be qualified to take on teaching opportunities at regular schools (Regelschule).
