University of Jena offers the state examination program “Biology’’. With a duration of six semesters this course aims to train students interested in pursuing a career as biology teachers in regular schools (Regelschule). Here, they will acquire the knowledge and skills in providing modern training with experiment-based instruction. Throughout their studies, participants will explore different areas such as botany, microbiology, physiology, zoology, and more as compulsory courses. In addition, the study plan also includes subject-specific and didactics training.
