At the University of Jena, students can find the state examination study program ‘’Chemistry’’. Throughout the course of nine semesters, participants will acquire the necessary competencies for practicing the teacher profession at regular schools (Regelschule). What is more, students will be well-prepared for teaching practice as they are expected to develop an individual working model that involves planning and carrying out modern experimental lessons. The curriculum offers both scientific and didactic knowledge in the field of chemistry and its different areas. In addition, students will be presented with the opportunity to choose an optional pre-course module in either Mathematics or Chemistry.
