The part-time extension exam program “Computer Science’’ is offered at the University of Jena. Throughout the seven-semester course, students will be prepared for the challenging task to teach computer science in grammar schools (Gymnasium). Participants will acquire knowledge and skills in practical, theoretical and technical computer science and subject didactics. What is more, they will also learn how to take advantage of their students’ interest in computers and use it to further encourage their participation in the learning process. The curriculum for this discipline features modules such as Algorithms and Data Structures, Discrete Structures, Fundamentals of Computer Engineering, and more.
