Description
University of Jena provides the six-semester study program “Bachelor of Science in Earth Sciences”. It combines both theory and practice. By entering this course, participants learn to understand for example what causes the natural events like earthquakes, and how people can protect themselves. Some of the main subjects includes Geology, Geophysics, Mineralogy, Geoscience Fundamentals, Hydrogeology, Rock Forming Minerals. Students will also learn how to analyze fossils, using a microscope, or how the oceans and mountains were developed. After successful completion, graduates have wide range of career opportunities, in geoengineering offices and service companies, commodity companies, research institutions and much more.
