“Master of Arts in English Studies/American Studies” is an English-taught study course with a duration of four semesters provided by the University of Jena. It is designed for students who already hold a Bachelor’s degree and would like to further their knowledge and qualification. By entering in the program, they will learn the basics of Anglophone literatures and cultures from the Middle Ages to now days. Students will attend various lectures such as Literary History, Theory of Literature, Grammar, Translation, Academic Writing, Literary Categories & Conventions. This course offers two different specializations: Linguistics, or Literary & Cultural Studies. After successful completion of “English Studies/American Studies” graduates can find career opportunity in business, culture and public sector.
