Description
The extension exam course “Geography’’ is offered by the University of Jena. This is a part-time course of study with a duration of six semesters. Its primary objective is to teach students who aspire to be geography teachers at regular schools (Regelschule). In an application-oriented manner, participants will learn to identify and understand core ideas and concepts related to geography. In addition, they will also expand their knowledge in the structure and dynamics of Earth as well as the relationship between humans and the environment. The curriculum comprises of modules such as Introduction to Human Geography, History of the Subject and Spatial Theories, Physical Geography of Germany, Society, Space and Demographic Change, and more.
