Description
The four-semester study course “Master of Science in Geoinformatics” is offered by the University of Jena. The aim is to teach students the methods of geoinformatics, by taking part in practical exercises and theoretical lectures. Some of the main subjects are Algorithmic Foundations, Geodatabases, Environmental Modelling, Modular Programming in Remote Sensing. By the end of their studies, participants will understand how to analyze spatial data, using specific software. Graduates of “Geoinformatics” have wide range of career opportunities, for example in public administration, private industry, environmental research, and much more.
