The degree program “Bachelor of Arts in German as a Foreign and Second Language’’ is provided by the University of Jena. Within the course of six semesters, students learn about the use of German language in a scientific manner. What is more, the curriculum also places a strong emphasis on German culture as a foreign culture. In addition to theoretical training, participants will engage in practice-related activities that will allow them to apply acquired knowledge for the solution of complex seminar tasks. The study plan comprises of modules in Basics of Learning and Teaching Foreign Languages, Media in Foreign Language Teaching, and others. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates will be qualified to work in institutions of adult education in Germany as well as abroad.
