“German as a second and foreign language” is with a duration of seven semesters. It is a part-time course, offered by the University of Jena. Students entering the program have the chance to learn more about the basics of learning and teaching foreign languages, and their methods. By taking part in an internship program, they will gain additional experience and knowledge. Some of the main subjects includes Fundamentals of Linguistics, Language in the Subject Classroom, German as a Second and Foreign Language, Interculturality & Heterogeneity in the School Context.
