University of Jena provides the state examination program in “German’’. With a duration of nine-semesters this course aims to prepare students for working as teachers in regular schools (Regelschule). Here, they will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary for planning and carrying out German lessons. The program consists of three sub-subjects that intertwined together explore in-depth German Linguistics, Literature and didactics. Students will explore the fundamental principles, history as well as characteristic phenomena of German language and literature.
