Description
The six-semester study course “Bachelor of Arts in German Linguistics” is provided by the University of Jena. Students entering the program will acquire solid knowledge of theories and methods in German linguistics. They have the chance to learn more about the structure of the language and its history. The main subjects are Speech Science, Theoretical Linguistics, Text Linguistics & Pragmatics, Language Theory & Lexicology, Applied Linguistics Computational Linguistics, and History of the German Language. At the end of their studies, participants are able to read and analyze German literary texts from Middle Ages to present days. Graduates have wide range of career opportunities, for example in public relations, specialized journalism, adult education, media and others.
