The program “Bachelor of Arts in German Studies” is with a duration of six semesters, offered by the University of Jena. The aim is to provide students with solid knowledge of the basics of German language and its literature. Those who enter the course have the opportunity to attend lectures like Dialectology, Theory of Language, History of Language, Introduction to Text Linguistics, Overview of German Linguistics, where will also learn new methods of scientific work, and how to apply them in practice. At the end of their studies, participants are able to read and analyze different texts. Career prospects for graduates of “German Studies” are in all educational institutions.
