University of Jena provides the ten-semester state examination study program “Greek’’. The course of study deals with the written Greek legacy produced until the end of antiquity. Here, students will examine and study Greek language and literature along with Greek history, philosophy, art, and culture. Thus, participants will be able to better understand different issues related to Greek language and literature and develop adequate solutions to them. What is more, students will also learn how to teach ancient culture in grammar schools (Gymnasium).
