University of Jena offers the four-semester degree program “Master of Science in History and Politics of the 20th century”. The aim is to provide students with knowledge of how to evaluate and analyze the historical problems and political challenges of the past, such as war, and violence. Students entering in this course are able to deepen the knowledge they have gained in their Bachelor’s studies. Content of study includes the lectures Romance Literary Studies, Introduction History & Politics of the 20th Century, Social Theory, History of the 20th Century. Upon successful completion, graduates are qualified for wide range of career opportunities in political parties, associations, international organizations, NGOs, large companies and much more.
