“History’’ is an extension examination program offered at the University of Jena. This is a part-time course with a length of six semesters. It is ideal for students who aspire to teach history in regular schools (Regelschule). In the first part of the program, participants will focus on the fundamental knowledge of general history and the scientific approach to the past. What is more, participants will take part in an integrated practical semester where they will further strengthen their skills and acquire deeper knowledge of all epochs. Some of the modules featured in this degree content include Advanced Greek History, Advanced Modules Early Modern Period, Advanced Modules History of the 19th and 20th Century, and more.
