The study program “Bachelor of Arts in Indo-European Studies’’ is provided by the University of Jena. It is with a length of six semesters and is ideal for prospective students who are interested in language development and language comparison as well as in the cultures of the Celts, Germanic people, Indians and Hittites. Participants will investigate the development and relationships of the Indo-European languages. This is achieved through intensive study of individual European and Asian ancient languages. The curriculum comprises of linguistic modules such as Greek Studies, Latin Studies, European Linguistics, Anatolian Linguistics, German Linguistics, and more. Graduates will be qualified to pursue career prospects in the fields of cultural studies and science communication, adult education, tourism, and others.
