“Italian” is a seven-semester teaching degree program offered by the University of Jena. It is practice-oriented, ideal for students who would like to learn how can teach others Italian language. They will study the Italian culture, literature and history, and gain in-depth didactic-methodical knowledge and skills. Study plan includes the subjects Didactics, Literary Studies, Linguistics, Cultural Studies, and Language Practice. In addition, they will also take part in an internship program abroad where will improve their language skills. Upon successful completion, graduates are prepared for teaching profession at secondary schools.
