The seven-semester part-time course “Mathematics’’ is provided by the University of Jena. Here, students will become familiar with the systematic structure of mathematics. Furthermore, participants will also learn strategies that they can later on implement in their work as mathematics teachers in grammar schools (Gymnasium). Thus, they will be prepared to interact with their future students and encourage them to engage in the learning process. The study plan features modules such as Elementary Methods of Numerical Mathematics, Linear Algebra and Analytic Geometry, Didactics of Mathematics, and others.
