“Master of Science in Medical Photonics” is an English-taught degree program offered by the University of Jena with a duration of four semesters. It is ideal for those interested in natural sciences would like to deepen their knowledge. Students entering this course have the opportunity to gain in-depth theoretical and methodological knowledge of areas like Human Biology, Mathematics, Physical Chemistry, Optical Engineering, Biomedical Imaging. In addition, they can choose between three different areas to focus on: Microscopy, Spectroscopy, and Diagnostics. At the end of their studies, participants are able to develop new optical methods and apply them in biomedical research.
