The study program in “Bachelor of Arts in Musicology’’ is provided by the University of Jena. With a length of six semesters, this course is ideal for prospective students who are interested to learn more about musicology. The focus of the program falls primarily on the introduction of musicology from a historical and interpretative point of view. In addition to the theoretical content, the curriculum also features practice-related modules that enable participants to get a glimpse of different professional fields of activity. Here, students will receive theoretical as well as practical training that will prepare them for the Master’s program or for further career development in the field of media, research institutions, cultural organizations or music education.
