University of Jena is providing the four-semester degree program “Master of Arts in North American Studies”. The aim is to teach participants the social, cultural, literary, and political history of North America. They have the opportunity to participate in an internship program abroad, where will deepen their knowledge and language skills. Content of study includes theoretical lectures such as Modern History, American Studies, Philosophy, History of the 19th Century, Political Theory & History of Ideas, Political Science. Successful completion leads to career at universities, adult education, media, government agencies, cultural and intercultural institutions and much more.
