Description
The part-time extension exam course “Physics’’ is provided by the University of Jena. Within the course of seven semesters students will be prepared for the challenges of the teaching profession. The degree content comprises of a didactic component and an experimental physics component. Such approach ensures that participants will acquire competencies in teaching and learning as well as solid knowledge and skills in physics. What is more the curriculum features lectures on mechanics, thermodynamics, atomic physics, along with elective modules and practical courses. Graduates will be able to find career prospects as teachers in grammar schools (Gymnasium).
