Description
“Protestant Religious Education’’ is a part-time state examination program offered by the University of Jena. Within the course of six semesters, students will gain a better understanding of the protestant religion, its development in history as well as its relevance to the present. Participants will also acquire basic theological knowledge and religious education methods. The curriculum comprises of an introductory phase and other courses in Church History, History of Theology, Ethics, Dogmatics, and others. What is more, students will be presented with the opportunity to choose between two language concentrations, namely Hebrew or Greek. Graduates will be qualified to seek employment opportunities as teachers in regular schools (Regelschule).
