“Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies: World Religions in History and Present Times’’ is a six-semester study program offered at the University of Jena. Its primary goal is to teach students about the five major religions, namely Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Islam. What is more, participants will explore how religion influences culture and society and what do people believe in. In addition, this study course also traces the historical development, decline and emergence also of smaller religions. Some of the professional fields where graduates can pursue career development include counseling, journalism, public relations, mediation, peace and conflict research, and more.
