University of Jena is offering the teaching degree course “Russian” with a duration of seven semesters. It is focused on providing students with in-depth knowledge of the linguistics, literary studies, regional and cultural studies of the Russian language. Those who enter in this program are able to learn complex theories and structures of the Russian language, as well as how to read and speak. For improving their knowledge and skills, participants will take part in an internship program abroad. Some of the main subjects are Introduction to Literary Studies, Concepts of Linguistics for Slavic Studies, Russian Language Teaching, Linguistic Fields of Work. Upon successful completion, graduates are qualified to work as a teacher in schools and other educational institutions.
