The degree course “Bachelor of Arts in Slavic Studies - Eastern Slavic Studies” with a duration of six semesters is provided by the University of Jena. By entering the program, students will acquire knowledge of the history, language, literature and culture of all Slavic countries. They have the chance to learn additional language, such as Czech, Polish, Bulgarian or Serbian/Croatian. Content of study includes practical trainings, seminars and lectures like Concepts of Linguistics for Slavic Studies, Literary Studies, Russian Language Teaching. After successful completion of the program, graduates are prepared for career in international companies, in the press and publishing industry, in tourism, non-governmental institutions and others.
