Description

The six-semester study program “Bachelor of Arts in Slavic Studies - West Slavic Studies” is provided by the University of Jena. It is ideal for those who are interested in the Central Eastern European area. Focus is on the Polish history, language, literature and culture. Students who enter this course have the opportunity to participate in an internship program abroad, where will strengthen their language skills. Study plan includes the subjects Literary Studies, Concepts of Linguistics for West Slavic Students, Linguistic Fields of Work in West Slavic Studies, Introduction to Literary Studies. Upon successful completion, graduates can work at universities and research institutes, in publishing houses, news agencies, adult education or translation agencies.
