University of Jena is providing the four-semester degree course “Master of Arts in Sociology”. By entering the course, participants will become familiar with the methods of the empirical social research. They have the chance to choose between three different specializations: "Work, Economy, Welfare", "Sustainability and Social Transformation", or "Gender Relations in Modern Societies". Participants will attend lectures such as Theoretical Philosophy, Research Methods, Organizational Theories, Research Supervision. In addition, for improving their professional experience, students will participate in an internship program abroad. Successful completion leads to career in social services, statistical departments, cultural and media work
