The state examination program “Spanish’’ is provided by the University of Jena. Over the course of ten semesters, students will acquire the necessary competencies for practicing the teacher profession at grammar schools (Gymnasium). Participants will be introduced to the Jena Model for teaching that includes a five-month practical semester towards the end of their studies. What is more, students will develop professional didactic-methodical skills that will help them to prepare lessons for classrooms. In addition, the degree content places a strong emphasis on the expansion of linguistic competences as well as the understanding of Hispanophone culture as a whole.
