University of Jena offers the teaching degree program “Spanish” with a duration of seven semesters. Students entering the course have the chance to gain solid knowledge of areas like Didactics of Romance Languages, Language Practice of Spanish, Spanish Linguistics, Spanish Literary Studies, Cultural Studies of the Hispanophone Cultural Area. This course offers the possibility for students to learn additional foreign language: French, Italian, Portuguese and Romanian. By the end of their studies, participants will acquire knowledge of the Spanish language, Hispanophone literature and culture. Graduates are qualified to work as a teacher in high schools.
