The “Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy” is a German-taught course with a duration of 6 semesters. The program is a Combination Bachelor, meaning participants will carry out Philosophy as a major and select a minor to study alongside it. Minor subjects available in English and American Studies, Protestant Religion, History, Mathematics, Political Science, Sociology, Economics, and more. Throughout their education, students will receive in-depth theoretical and practical knowledge. Additionally, students have the opportunity to set their career paths early on by choosing a specialisation between History of Philosophy, Practical Philosophy, Theoretical Philosophy, and Interdisciplinary References to Philosophy. Furthermore, the BA promotes the development of key skills such as intercultural competence, presentation, foreign language competence, project management, communication and organisation, etc. Depending on the specialisation of choice, graduates are qualified to work in various niches of the field or pursue a Master’s degree.
