The First State Examination program “Teaching at Primary Schools“ is a 7-semester program taught in German. The curriculum includes compulsory subjects - Mathematics, German, Educational and Social Sciences, as well as an elective subject. The latter can be English, French, Art, Music, Religion, and Sports. Throughout their education, students will acquire in-depth theoretical knowledge and gain practical relevance. They’ll attend application-oriented seminars that aim to provide them with hands-on experience, methodological and didactic competencies. Furthermore, the program promotes the development of soft skills such as teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, moderation, etc. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified to assume a teaching position at primary schools or opt for a Master’s degree.
