Offered by the University of Koblenz and Landau the degree program “Master of Science in Applied Physics” is with a total duration of four semesters. The participants have the opportunity to choose their major field of study in medical technology and sports medicine technology, laser technology and optical technologies or material and interface physics. Graduates learn how to analyze mathematical problems in the area of the issues dealt with and will be able to use adequate methods to independently solve, identify, perform and evaluate tasks. By mastering the mathematical framework for solving the hydrogen problem in order to describe various electron atoms, the degree program also teaches the prospective students the experimental skill to investigate basic detection methods and the students gain an extended insight into quantum mechanics, acquire competencies in numerical solutions to physical problems from the field of molecular physics and more.
