Description
The interdisciplinary course “Master of Science in Environmental Pollution Management - Ecotoxicology” is with a standard period of study of total four semesters provided by the University of Koblenz and Landau. Entirely English-taught, the master degree deals with the investigation of the influence of chemicals on the biotic environment with a strong focus on application and development of methods for risk assessment. By combining topics of environmental chemistry, toxicology and ecology as well as social sciences and environmental economics, the program provides a competent education in ecotoxicology along with a basic and application-oriented understanding of the distribution, effects and risk management of chemicals in the environment based current ecotoxicological research. The graduates become familiar with ecotoxicological guidelines, applicable aspects of the Quality Assurance System and will be able to practically apply the fundamental methods and transfer their knowledge to unknown test systems with statistical test methods.
