With a total duration of six semesters, the study program “Bachelor of Arts in Educational Science” is provided by the University of Koblenz and Landau. The course provides general educational science and pedagogical skills along with the supplementary subjects psychological and sociological basics. After the first year of study, the participants have the opportunity to select the compulsory elective subject between personnel development, intercultural education, media education, education in early childhood, special education, social education or digital education and e-learning. During their study, the prospective students learn to classify theories, terms, and concepts in the respective historical-theoretical context, represent constructions under respective specific perspectives along with the essential basic concepts of pedagogy and the related theories for analysis, determination as well as areas of educational activity.
