“Master of Science in Environmental Sciences” is provided by the University of Koblenz and Landau with a total length of four semesters. By building on the bachelor’s degree, the full-time program explores the interactions between the various environmental compartments on different scales, molecules along with landscape and imparts methodological competence, flexibility as well as system understanding. Students obtain detailed soft skills in the fields of interdisciplinary teamwork, presentation and publication while the program enables students to resolve complicated, multidisciplinary problems and to plan scientific studies in order to select and apply complex statistical methods for data analysis. By exploring the insights into different sectors of environmental research and current aspects and problems relating to phenomena of global change, participants also deal extensively with the current debate on sustainability and energy and get to know alternative energy concepts, learn to evaluate those from both an ecological and economic perspective and more.
