Provided by the University of Koblenz and Landau the degree program “Master of Arts in German Studies: Language – Literature – Media” is with a total duration of four semesters. During the course, the participants are able to acquire the competence to independently develop processes of communication in language and literature, to assess them and to convey the acquired knowledge to society. Oriented towards cultural studies including hermeneutics, structuralism, media theories and discourse analysis the participants learn to recognize, analyze and shape both linguistic and literary, but also cultural and aesthetic phenomena in their cultural and historical peculiarities. Graduates will be able to further specialize in theaters, language institutes, museums, publishing houses, cultural reporting in the press, radio and television, public relations, cultural mediation and more.
