The “Bachelor of Arts in Art Education” is a German-taught program with a duration of 6 semesters. It is also offered as a part-time study, suitable for applicants who wish to further their education without having to pause their career. The curriculum includes subject-specific courses that aim to prepare students for work in the fields of art education, art theory and art history, as well as artistic production and reception. The BA is application-oriented and aims to provide students with extensive theoretical and practical training. They’ll acquire hands-on experience and key competencies needed for day-to-day operations. Upon completion of the program, graduates are qualified for educational work with children, young people, and senior citizens, handicapped people, the new media, and the presentation and communication of artistic achievements. They can also pursue a consecutive Master’s degree.
