The “Master of Science in Biology” is a 4-semester program conducted in German and English. It is a continuation of the corresponding Bachelor’s degree offered at the University of Leipzig. The course is also available as a part-time study, suitable for applicants who wish to further their competencies while working at the same time. The curriculum includes interdisciplinary courses with a focus on the different branches of Biology, as well as related areas like Biochemistry, Geosciences, Computer Science, and Medicine. Additionally, students can undertake elective modules and personalize their education. Furthermore, the MSc offers participants two fields of study to focus on Biodiversity, Ecology, and Evolution and Neurosciences and Behavioral Sciences. The program is application-oriented and aims to provide students with hands-on experience and key competencies. Graduates are qualified to pursue positions in Free economy, Laboratory Analysis, Environmental Advice and Management, Process and Product Development, Pharmaceutical Advice and Distribution, etc.
